I had never been to the Level Up Conference before. I flew from India to Arizona in 23 hours, but it was well worth it to attend the conference. I had the opportunity to expand my understanding of Ayn Rand’s objectivist philosophy and gain ideas for personal development. We learned how to combine lectures on rational philosophy with lessons on self-improvement to create useful tools for our future personal and professional development. The conference was hosted by the Objective Standard Institute and was an unprecedented opportunity for classical liberals. The conference fulfilled my dream of meeting renowned Objectivist speakers such as Sarah and Craig Biddle, Angel and Thomas Walker-Werth, Bari Weiss, Martin Hooss, James Clear, and Sahar Tartak. The most salient aspect of the conference was that, in addition to providing deep insights into Objectivism, it also demonstrated how Objectivism can be beneficially applied to everyday life. This was especially influential for students, who made up a majority of the attendees. The networking element at LevelUp stood out for two major reasons. First, the conference attracted a number of libertarian organizations, such as Students For Liberty, Prometheus Foundation, Talent Market, FEE, Liberty International, and Reason Magazine, among others, to send representatives and set up tables with unique offerings and opportunities for participants. Second, the organizers were successful in bringing together a diverse group of participants, mostly liberty-loving students from across the globe.
