With great pleasure, we would like to invite you all to the upcoming 2nd Indian Liberal’s Annual Lecture happening on the 27th of November 2022.
Our very first lecture last year was delivered by noted author and journalist Sagarika Ghose on “The Case for Individual Liberty”.
This year’s lecture will be delivered by, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan on “The scope for Political Liberalism in the 21st Century”
The 1971 elections saw the end of India’s only national liberal political party – the Swantantra Party. The first political challenge to central planning had ended. No political party with liberal ideals has come to the national forefront since. With a view to increasing institutional accountability and transparency in governance, it is time to revisit the scope of political liberalism in India.
